Gout Treatment Based On The Diagnosis Of Arthritis

Nov 9, 2011

All types of arthritis are often treated in a similar manner. It is only the root cause that has to be given a separate diagnosis and treatment. The moment you go to a doctor complaining of joint aches and severe pain, he shall prescribe heavy dosage anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs to bring down the pain and rashes produced out of inflammation of joints under control. After the diagnosis has been confirmed as a bout of gout, he shall prescribe other gout treatment that directly control the uric acid serum levels in blood.
The blood is a carrier of uric acid and normally its quantity is low enough for the kidney to extract out and remove from the body. However, sometimes the kidney gets overwhelmed with the amount of serum uric acid levels and is unable to process it all resulting in the excessive circulation of uric acid that finds a home in the joints of the lower body. Here it settles in and erodes the joints causing searing pain and inflammation of joints.
